Home Tuition Programme

The ACET team chooses homes and teacher-hosts who offer comfortable and relaxed surroundings, quality teaching and experience of Irish life. Homes are located in Cork city and its suburbs.

Our courses are designed to meet clients’ individual needs and requirements to maximise their progress. Clients can develop a range of language skills including reading, writing, listening and speaking. The teacher assesses the client’s level of English and devises a suitable programme of study according to the client’s requirements. Living in the teacher’s home gives clients a total, in-depth immersion into Irish culture, customs and lifestyle.

Lessons usually take place in the mornings, which leaves the afternoons free for activities or private study. Clients have three activities included in the week.
